As I reflect on my journey from a sports-loving boy to a passionate acupuncturist, I can’t help but feel grateful for the experiences that shaped my path. Sports like soccer, basketball, and golf always filled me with joy, and achieving a 3rd-degree black belt in Taekwondo was a significant accomplishment. However, witnessing my active friends frequently getting injured sparked a deep interest in the mechanics of the human body, leading me to explore the fascinating field of Kinetic Function. This curiosity drove me to pursue specialized training with the Republic of Korea Marine Corps and later attend a business school in the US to prepare for my family’s legacy.

But it was in this pursuit that I discovered my true calling: helping people heal both mind and body. My journey began with Pilates, where I found immense satisfaction in teaching and supporting others. Over the course of 11 years, I established and nurtured my own studio in the vibrant city of Los Angeles. However, my desire to gain a deeper understanding of the human body only grew stronger, propelling me towards the study of traditional Korean medicine (Hanui) at Dongguk University Los Angeles.

It was at Dongguk University that I had the privilege of studying under the guidance of Dr. Lena Kim. Her passion and profound knowledge of Korean medicine left a profound impact on me, making me even more determined to join her team. Now, as I move forward, my focus remains on sports injuries, rehabilitation, and postural correction. I am deeply committed to integrating the principles of traditional Korean medicine, utilizing acupuncture therapy and exercise techniques to effectively communicate with my patients and provide transformative treatments.

My ultimate goal is to be an acupuncturist who not only heals but also makes a positive difference in the lives of those under my care. My 11 years of experience as a master Pilates instructor have honed my skills and provided valuable insights that have shaped my approach to healing and wellness.

As I embark on this new chapter in my life, I am filled with excitement and determination. I am eager to continue growing as an acupuncturist, with the sole aim of leaving a lasting impact on the well-being of my cherished patients.

As I reflect on my journey from a sports-loving boy to a passionate acupuncturist, I can’t help b... Read More
